Shipping Policy — The Poppy Seed
Thank you for shopping with The Poppy Seed. We take great care in preparing and delivering our handmade soaps, candles, and home products. Below you will find all information regarding shipping, delivery times, and related procedures.

Processing Time
All orders are processed within 1–3 business days.
During high-volume periods—such as holidays or special promotions—processing times may be slightly longer.
If there is a significant delay, we will notify you by email.
Shipping Rates & Delivery Estimates

Netherlands
We ship all domestic orders via trusted carriers such as PostNL.
Estimated delivery time: 1–3 business days after dispatch.
Shipping rates:

Belgium & Other EU Countries
Estimated delivery time: 3–7 business days, depending on destination.
Shipping cost will be calculated at checkout based on weight and location.

Delivery times vary by region and may take 7–21 business days.
Any customs duties or import taxes are the responsibility of the customer.

Order Tracking
Once your order has shipped, you will receive a confirmation email with a tracking number (if applicable).
Please allow 24–48 hours for tracking information to update.
Packaging
At The Poppy Seed, we strive to use eco-friendly and recyclable packaging materials whenever possible.
Products are securely wrapped to prevent damage during transport.

Undeliverable or Returned Packages
If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect address or failure to collect, the customer is responsible for additional shipping costs for re-delivery.

Shipping Damage or Issues
If your order arrives damaged, incomplete, or incorrect, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the issue. We will work with you to replace or refund the affected items.

Returns & Refund Policy — The Poppy Seed

Thank you for choosing The Poppy Seed. We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. Below you will find our return and refund guidelines.

Returns
We accept returns on eligible products within 14 days of delivery. To be eligible for a return, items must be:

Unused and in their original condition

Unopened and in original packaging

Accompanied by proof of purchase

Non-Returnable Items
For hygiene and safety reasons, soaps cannot be returned once delivered.
This includes bar soaps, soap samples, and any custom-made soap products.
Other non-returnable items include:

Sale or clearance items (unless damaged or defective)

Return Process
To initiate a return, please contact our customer service team at info@thepoppyseed.nl with your order number and reason for return.
Once your return is approved, we will provide instructions and the return address.
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item arrived damaged or incorrect.

Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
Approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.
